ElasticHosts
ElasticHosts is a UK-native cloud infrastructure, providing scalable and flexible virtual server capacity for cloud hosting. We are the second UK-native cloud infrastructure and the world’s first public cloud based upon KVM.

KVM
Hi Richard,
You say your platform is based upon a KVM (Kernel based Virtual Machine), but what does this really mean in terms of benefits to the end user?
Re: KVM
The end users benefits of KVM are (1) very high virtualization performance, and (2) high user control of their server configuration since KVM behaves very much like physical hardware. To expand on this second point, other clouds typically offer a small number of standard OS configurations since the host operating systems need configuration with special drivers. ElasticHosts allows you to run almost any PC operating system image - either copied directly from a physical server's hard drive or installed yourself from any install CD that you choose.
