Overview of ElasticHost's Cloud Hosting Proposition

Billing Overview

Products fall under either of two pricing schemes to suit all of our customers:

By monthly subscription, paid in advance

This scheme offers the lowest rates for continuous use, and will suit customers who wish to host a website or other ongoing service, with the ability to scale it when demand rises.

* By hourly burst use, deducted from your prepaid balance

This scheme offers most flexibility for you to start, stop and scale your servers, as and when you need. The hourly rates are higher than our subscription rates, since the demand is less predictable for us. You can mix and match between these schemes, with burst charges applying when your use goes above your subscribed level. For example, you could subscribe for continuous disk storage, but pay for occasional virtual server use from your prepaid balance.

Amazon AWS - What is it good for?

Unless you've been on the moon you can't have missed the hype around Cloud computing and particularly the biggest name associated with it. Amazon Web Services (AWS) allows you to utilise Amazons massive server infrastructure without having to consider set up costs, hardware failures, network scalability or redundant hardware.
