Introduce yourself....
New to the forum? Take a moment to introduce yourself to everyone...
I'll kick off:
I'm Paul, I graduated from University a few years ago and worked for a Financial Services company for a few years before leaving to become a partner in a web hosting company based in the UK. I have since spent the large part of my time researching the cloud from a business perspective rather (not technical!) and built this site as an information source for others who are also involved in the development of the cloud in one way or another.

Simon Blackler
Hello everyone!
I'm Simon, I had the unfortunate pleasure of going to university with Paul and then some time later bought him on board to help run a web hosting company I set up pre-uni.
At university I was most interested in large scale computer systems; grid computing, edge computing etc, especially with a view to the best ways to interconnect i.e network them. Akamai in particular fascinates me.
Cloud computing is an old concept but it's started to see a resurgence lately and being easily excitable I wanted to read up on the subject; to find that most information was scattered and/or just marketing hype/bumpf.
Paul and I decided to set up this resource to provide a place where various industry experts could contribute their perspectives on "the cloud" and interested parties would have 1 place to find out what they needed, and if they couldn't ask the community.
Where Paul's research is from a business perspective mine is of a more technical angle; I'm looking to produce articles that will help people overcome problems inherent in building a cloud.
I run an online business
I run an online business from home and have 20 + years experience in the web hosting arena, mainly with the development of load balancing software and hypervisors. I am now using mosso's reseller package for my hosting - made the switch to the cloud this week and so far so good.
Good job on the site guys, I
Good job on the site guys, I haven't been able to find a decent cloud hosting forum site until I stumbled across this by accident..
I'm Terrence, have a 10 year background in DNS and online data storage working in R&D for a large IT firm and have recently left to become a contractor for cloud consultancy and implementation services.
